We offer three types of liners for our curtains. We have a light filtering fabric liner, a 95% blackout liner, and a 100% blackout liner. The most common question we get about our liners is what is the difference between the 95% blackout and 100% blackout. To be honest, the difference is mostly with the color of the liner and the feel of the liner. The 100% blackout liner is a stiffer, more structured fabric. It gives a lot of body to the overall look of the curtain when it is hanging. The curtain can be styled and it will keep its shape. This liner is white. In contrast, the 95% blackout liner is soft and silky in feel. Due to the silky fibers used it has a little bit of a sheen or shine to the lining fabric. This liner is a very light gray. The 95% blackout option will hang just like a normal fabric and it will not keep a certain shape. If you are looking for a light-blocking option, both our 95% and 100% blackout options are effective, it is just a personal preference on the look and feels you want to achieve. If light blocking is not a concern to you, our light-filtering cotton liner is a great option for you. This liner diffuses light coming in through your windows nicely and it offers great privacy. We hope you have a better understanding of our liners and this has settled your debate on which kind of liner is right for you.
